Fresh Policy Review

Write for us

Fresh Policy Review welcomes considered pitches that help general readers understand how public policy is framed, carried out or reviewed. A useful proposal begins with a specific question and makes clear why the answer matters beyond specialist circles.

What to pitch

We are interested in clear explainers, comparisons, background pieces and reader-oriented guides to policy language and processes. Strong proposals have a defined scope, a distinct angle and a reader who will come away understanding something more precisely. We do not seek broad opinion pieces that simply rehearse a political position.

What makes a good proposal

Set out the working title, central question, intended reader and the main points the piece would cover. Tell us what makes the subject suitable for a general audience and note any relevant limits or uncertainties. Do not include confidential information or claim access, expertise or research you cannot substantiate.

How to send it

Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. A pitch is a proposal, not a promise of publication; any further steps or terms can be discussed if the idea is of interest.

Our point of view

A policy is a choice put into words

Those words meet people through services, forms and everyday routines. We look closely at how they are framed and carried out.
