Editorial policy
Fresh Policy Review aims to make public policy easier to understand through careful wording, clear distinctions and transparent editorial choices. We value accuracy over flourish and make uncertainty visible when the available information does not support a firm statement.
Accuracy and context
We check names, terms and descriptions against suitable source material before publication, and take care not to make a general explanation sound universal when arrangements may differ. Articles should distinguish a policy's stated purpose from its design, implementation and observed effects. We do not claim research or reporting that has not been carried out.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for readers, not as a promise of favourable treatment to a contributor, partner or other interested party. Where a relationship could matter to how material is understood, it should be disclosed plainly. Partnership activity does not determine editorial conclusions.
Corrections
If a published item contains a material error, we will review the concern and correct the wording when warranted. Significant changes should be made clear to readers rather than silently altering the record. Readers can send correction requests through the Contact page, with the relevant article and the point in question.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid, supplied or otherwise partner-supported material will be labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. We may use AI-generated illustrations; when an illustration is AI-generated, it will be identified as such. Illustrations are not evidence for a policy claim.
A policy is a choice put into words
Those words meet people through services, forms and everyday routines. We look closely at how they are framed and carried out.
